The production team behind Pokémon Horizons revealed two new characters and their respective voice cast members on Friday.
New Opening and Ending Theme Songs
The series’ lead voice actresses, Minori Suzuki (as Liko) and Yuka Terasaki (as Roy), perform the new opening theme song “Sekai Tsunagare,” produced by HoneyWorks. The new ending theme, “Cute na Kyūtai,” is performed by CUTIE STREET.
New Arc at Blueberry Academy
The anime entered a new story arc last October, sending its characters to Blueberry Academy — a location first introduced in “The Indigo Disk” DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet/Violet games.
Series Background
Pokémon Horizons premiered in Japan in April 2023 with a one-hour special first episode and airs every Friday at 6:55 p.m. JST. The show features two brand-new dual protagonists, Liko and Roy, alongside Pokémon Scarlet/Violet starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, as well as the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza in its Shiny form. New characters Friede and Captain Pikachu — a Pokémon professor and his Pokémon partner — also battle alongside the two leads.
The anime’s second arc, “Terapagos no Kagayaki” (The Brilliance of Terapagos), began with episode 29 in October 2023. The “Terastal Debut” arc followed in April 2024, and the fourth arc launched in October 2024, featuring characters from Kitakami, the setting of “The Teal Mask” DLC.

Netflix Availability
Netflix launched the series in the United States in March 2024, slightly later than its originally announced February 2024 debut. The second season, Pokémon Horizons: The Series—The Search for Laqua, premiered on Netflix in February 2025, and Pokémon Horizons: Season 3—Rising Hope was added to the platform on January 6.
