The production team behind the TV anime Tetsunabe no Jan! (鉄鍋のジャン！) has released preview images from Episode 1, titled “Encounter with Flames” (炎との出逢い).
Episode 1 Synopsis
Based on the original manga by Nishijo Shinji, the series follows Jan, a fiercely independent young chef who ignites intense culinary battles in the world of professional cooking.
In the first episode, after the prestigious Chinese restaurant Gobanchō Hanten in Ginza closes for the night, a mysterious man shows up and orders fried rice. Upon being served, he promptly throws the dish into the trash and shouts, “Is this supposed to be food? I never should have come! Akiyama is the greatest! Akiyama is the ‘King of Chinese Cuisine’!” — leaving everyone in the restaurant stunned.
Broadcast & Streaming
Tetsunabe no Jan! premieres on July 5, 2026, airing every Sunday at 17:30 JST across six TV Tokyo affiliate stations. The series will also be available on numerous streaming platforms including ABEMA, U-NEXT, Hulu, Prime Video, DMM TV, dアニメストア, FOD, Niconico, WOWOW On Demand, and more.
