To celebrate the broadcast of the first episode of TV anime “World Is Dancing” (ワールド イズ ダンシング) on July 2, 2026, a special congratulatory illustration from manga artist Inoue Takehiko has arrived, alongside the official release of the anime’s Opening video.

The connection between Inoue and this title runs deep: original manga author Mihara Kazuto previously worked as Inoue’s assistant. The illustration bears the message “祝ワールド イズ ダンシングアニメ化” (Congratulations on the anime adaptation of World Is Dancing) and features a drawing of the protagonist, Oniyasha.
Opening Video and Theme Song
The Opening sequence is set to “終宵” (Shūya) by the band Macaroni Enpitsu, capturing both the dynamism and fragility at the heart of the story. The staff credit typography seen throughout the video was hand-lettered by calligrapher Nemoto Satoru, who also created the anime’s title logo. The anime’s official X account has additionally published a comment video from the members of Macaroni Enpitsu.
Story
“World Is Dancing” follows Oniyasha, a beautiful young boy living through a turbulent era of constant conflict, who will go on to give birth to the art of Noh theatre and become known to history as Zeami. Oniyasha is voiced by Hanamori Yumiri, and the series is produced by studio Cypic, known for “Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray” and “Hikari ga Shinda Natsu.”
The anime is available on Prime Video ahead of its broadcast run, streaming every Monday at 22:00. It is also simulcast on ABEMA from July 2, 2026.
