The TV anime Drops of God (神の雫), based on the manga by Aki Tadashi and Okimoto Shu, has released its official key visual for the second cour alongside a recap PV revisiting the rivalry between protagonists Kamisaki Shizuku and Tomine Issei.
Key Visual and Episode 13 Details
The second cour officially kicks off with Episode 13, titled “Hatsukoi no Hito ni Nishi Kimi wa,” airing on July 3. The new key visual places Shizuku and Issei at the center, both reaching toward the viewer, with background imagery hinting at the upcoming Apostle (使徒) targets they must identify.
A synopsis and preview stills for Episode 13 have also been released. The theme of the Fourth Apostle is revealed to be “first love.” Issei travels to a bar in Yokohama to reunite with a man named Jack, while Shizuku receives a request from musician Makabe Sosuke to curate wines for a lavish wine-and-music event aboard a luxury cruise ship. Shizuku must find a wine that perfectly complements the performance of Japanese violinist Aki Sona Dare at a concert themed around first love.
Wine Giveaway Campaign
To celebrate the start of the second cour, the anime’s official X (Twitter) account is running a giveaway campaign in which five lucky winners will receive a bottle of Château Chasse-Spleen — the wine featured in Episode 7.
Special Event in April 2027
A special event titled 「TVアニメ『神の雫』スペシャルイベント」 has been announced for Saturday, April 24, 2027, at the Fuyo-no-Ma hall, Hotel New Otani, Tokyo. Details are as follows:
- Guests: Aki Tadashi (original author / Kibayashi Shin & Kibayashi Yuko), Itozo Kenji (director), Kamenashi Kazuya (voice of Shizuku), Sato Takuya (voice of Issei)
- MC: Yoshida Naoki
- Program: Talk show and wine tasting session (with apéritif) — attendees will enjoy wine together with the guests on stage
- Ticket price: ¥30,000 (tax included)
Priority ticket purchase application cards will be included in the Blu-ray BOX Vol. 1 (on sale September 16) and Blu-ray BOX Vol. 2 (on sale December 23).
