To celebrate two TV anime series based on manga by Akazawa Koucha — Seihantai na Kimi to Boku and Kori no Jouheki — airing back-to-back in 2026, a special collaboration campaign titled “Akazawa Koucha Anime Year” has been launched. As part of the campaign, a second “baton-touch” illustration featuring the protagonists of both series has been released.
The artwork captures the relay of broadcast slots: Hikawa Koyuki, the lead of Kori no Jouheki — whose Season 1 finale aired on July 2 — is shown passing the baton to Suzuki, the heroine of Seihantai na Kimi to Boku, whose Season 2 kicked off on July 5. A first baton-touch illustration, depicting Suzuki passing to Koyuki, had previously been released when Season 1 of Seihantai na Kimi to Boku concluded.
About the Series
Seihantai na Kimi to Boku is a romantic comedy following Suzuki, an energetic girl who is overly conscious of others’ opinions, and Tani, a quiet boy who is never afraid to speak his mind. Kori no Jouheki is an ensemble drama centered on Hikawa Koyuki, a high school student who keeps the world at arm’s length behind an emotional wall. Season 2 of Kori no Jouheki is scheduled to air in October 2026.
