Japanese health technology company TANITA has announced a special collaboration with BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Conflict, launching two limited-edition health products: a voice-guided body composition scale (BC-204L BLEACH Model) and a 3D sensor pedometer (FB-741 BLEACH Model) in 27 character designs. Both items are available for pre-order exclusively through the TANITA Online Shop.
About BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War
BLEACH is a sword-battle action manga by Tite Kubo, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, with a cumulative series print run exceeding 130 million copies worldwide. The story follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who unexpectedly gains the powers of a Soul Reaper and is drawn into the conflicts of the spirit world known as Soul Society. The Thousand-Year Blood War arc launched as the anime’s final chapter in October 2022, featuring a fully revamped character design. Its final cour, The Conflict, began airing on July 25 — the occasion that inspired this collaboration.
BC-204L BLEACH Model: Voice-Guided Body Composition Scale
The centerpiece of the collaboration is the BC-204L, a wireless-enabled body composition scale featuring voice guidance from four main characters:
- Ichigo Kurosaki (CV: Masakazu Morita)
- Rukia Kuchiki (CV: Fumiko Orikasa)
- Renji Abarai (CV: Kentaro Ito)
- Toshiro Hitsugaya (CV: Romi Park)
The characters guide users through initial setup and measurement steps via spoken audio. After each measurement, the scale plays a result-specific voice message. For example:
If body fat is rated “below standard,” Ichigo says: “Heh, not bad. You might even be tougher than Rukia.” Rukia fires back: “Fool! Do you have any idea how hard I train?!”
If muscle mass is rated “high,” Hitsugaya remarks: “Good numbers. I’d have no problem leaving the heavy lifting to you,” while Renji adds: “I’d trust you to have my back right now!”
The scale also rewards consistent use with streak messages — measuring three days in a row prompts Ichigo to say “Three days straight! Not bad at all!” and Rukia to add “Don’t let your guard down.” Different messages play for streaks of one week, two weeks, and beyond, keeping users motivated over the long term.
This model also marks the first time TANITA has included wireless connectivity in a voice-guided body composition scale. Data can be synced to the TANITA Record and Health Planet smartphone apps for tracking via numbers and graphs. The scale’s body features illustrations of all four characters against a black background accented with the series’ English title and sharp intersecting lines that evoke the world of BLEACH.

FB-741 BLEACH Model: 3D Sensor Pedometer — 27 Designs
For fans who want their favorite character by their side every day, the FB-741 BLEACH Model pedometer comes in 27 designs based on characters from the series, starting with Ichigo Kurosaki. Each design uses the character’s signature color as its base, accented with motifs evoking the slashing arcs of sword combat, resulting in a dynamic and energetic look.
The pedometer uses a 3-axis (3D) sensor for accurate step counting whether worn around the neck with the included strap, or tucked into a bag or pocket.
