About NARUTO

NARUTO is a shonen manga series by Masashi Kishimoto, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 until its conclusion at chapter 700 in 2014. The story follows young ninja Uzumaki Naruto as he strives to become the Hokage — the leader of Konohagakure Village — overcoming fierce rivals and a troubled past along the way. The series has sold over 250 million copies across more than 60 countries and regions worldwide.

A TV anime adaptation began airing on TV Tokyo in 2002, followed by NARUTO Shippuden from 2007 through March 2017. The franchise has produced 11 theatrical anime films and currently airs in over 145 countries and regions. In 2022, the TV anime celebrated its 20th anniversary on air.

Ikimonogakari Celebrates 20 Years
