A limited pop-up shop celebrating the theatrical run of Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199 Chapter 6: “Aoi Meikyuu” (碧い迷宮 / The Azure Labyrinth) will open at Tokyo Solamachi from July 29 to August 4, 2026. The event, officially titled “Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199 Tokyo Solamachi POP UP SHOP,” will feature a wide range of merchandise using newly drawn illustrations by Kia Asamiya (麻宮騎亜), the artist behind the series’ image drawings and teaser visuals.
About REBEL3199
Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199 is a fully original work that reimagines and reconstructs the 1980 theatrical film Yamato yo Towa ni and the same-year TV series Space Battleship Yamato III with a fresh perspective. The latest entry in the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 franchise, it is structured as a 26-episode series released in Japanese cinemas, beginning with Chapter 1 “Kuro no Shinryaku” in July 2024.
Chapter 6, currently screening since June 26, 2026, follows the Yamato as it crosses a space-time nexus point and arrives not in the future, but in Tokyo in the year 2026. The series will conclude with Chapter 7 “Nijiiro no Wa” — described as depicting a “resplendent finale” — set to open on October 30, 2026.
Merchandise Highlights
Goods at the pop-up shop fall into two main categories:
- Collaboration items featuring Kia Asamiya’s newly drawn artwork pairing the Tokyo Skytree with the Space Battleship Yamato.
- Tokyo 2026 theme items using new illustrations based on the concept “What if the characters appeared in Tokyo in 2026?” — directly tied to the story of Chapter 6.
Bonuses and Lucky Draw
For every ¥2,000 spent (tax included), shoppers will receive one randomly selected mini bromide card from a set of five designs. Purchases also grant entry into a lucky draw for special prizes.
Online Pre-Order Items via A-on STORE
To coincide with the event, Bandai Namco Filmworks’ official online shop A-on STORE will open pre-orders for two exclusive items featuring Kia Asamiya’s new artwork:
- “88 Graph” — a framed art print
- “Pullback [Space Battleship Yamato]” — a pullback toy modeled after the Yamato
Pre-orders run from July 29 at 10:00 a.m. to August 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., with delivery expected from October 28, 2026 onward. Sample items will be on display at the pop-up venue, though they will not be available for purchase there.
