Natsushima Tobira’s one-shot manga Hashiru Kinou e (走る昨日へ) went live on Shonen Jump+ on July 22, published under Shueisha.
Story
According to an urban legend, a certain athletics track holds a remarkable secret: anyone who can run 50 meters in 6.66 seconds will be sent briefly back in time. Drawn in by this rumor is Nagahama, a male high-school student who is seen by those around him as a purely academic type — but who harbors a deeply personal wish to see his deceased father one more time.
To chase that dream, Nagahama approaches Mizushima, the ace of the school’s track-and-field club and a girl who genuinely loves to run, and asks her to coach him.
The work is described as a sci-fi athletics drama centered on a boy carrying a hidden longing and a girl with an uncomplicated passion for running, as the two together confront the mystery of the legendary track.
