The production team behind the upcoming television anime adaptation of Tensei Goblin dakedo Shitsumon Aru? (So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin?), based on the manga by writer Nazuna Miki and artist Tsukasa Araki, has announced three additional cast members alongside the artists performing the series’ theme songs.
Theme Songs
Music artist Sou will perform the opening theme, while four-piece band AHUB takes on the ending theme.
Newly Announced Cast
- Natsuki Hanae as Albert, the third prince of the human empire, who used his skill “Eighth Time’s the Charm” to corner the Demon King
- Hiro Shimono as Izuiizu (romanization unconfirmed), a small dragon that crash-landed in the Goblin Forest
- Yukari Tamura as Tenchi Kaibyaku (literally “Creation of Heaven and Earth”), a being of unknown identity who attacks both goblins and humans without hesitation

Ryūta Kawahara (episode director on The Summer Hikaru Died, Orange, 86, Blend S) is directing the anime at studio BAKKKA. Yūichirō Momose (So I’m a Spider, So What?, Africa Salaryman) is handling series scripts, Hiroyuki Saita (Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez, Revue Starlight) is designing the characters, Hiroto Morishita (Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, Wistoria: Wand and Sword) serves as sound director, and Takenoko Boy is composing the music at INCS Toenter.
Story
Office worker Akira Yagami’s selfless personality rarely does him any favors. After dying while saving a child from oncoming traffic, he finds himself reincarnated in a fantasy world — as a goblin. Goblins normally live only seven days, but Akira’s unique new abilities let him surpass that limit and set him on the path to becoming the most powerful goblin who ever lived.
Manga & Premiere Info
The manga has been serialized on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump website since 2020. The 14th compiled volume was released on March 18, with the 15th volume scheduled for September 17. Yen Press released the 10th English-language volume on May 26. The anime is set to premiere in October.
