DMM Pictures announced on Thursday that Mitsuki Mii‘s manga Kusunoki’s Flunking Her High School Glow-Up (Kusunoki-san wa Kōkō Debut ni Shippai Shite Iru) is receiving a television anime adaptation.

Cast

Yūto Uemura will voice Keisuke Shizuki, while Tomori Kusunoki will voice Shizuka Kusunoki.

Story

Keisuke Shizuki and Shizuka Kusunoki both turn heads at their new high school, but they share a hidden past — both were social outcasts in middle school. While Shizuki has successfully reinvented himself inside and out, Kusunoki still struggles to build the social skills to match her new look. She’s desperate for Shizuki’s guidance, if only he could overcome his phobia of pretty girls.

About the Manga

The manga launched on the comic POOL platform in 2022. Ichijinsha is scheduled to release the eighth compiled volume in Japan on July 28. Kodansha USA Publishing handles the English release, with the sixth volume having gone on sale digitally and physically on May 19.
