The theatrical anime film Look Back (ルックバック) is set to air on NHK Etele tonight, Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. JST — giving audiences another chance to catch the acclaimed film on television.
From Manga to Cinemas to TV
Based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto, Look Back follows two girls who pour their hearts into creating manga. Director Kiyotaka Oshiyama brought the story to life with a meticulously crafted animation style that closely echoes Fujimoto’s distinctive artwork.
The film originally opened in Japanese cinemas in June 2024. It received its first free-to-air television broadcast on NHK General in March of this year, and tonight’s NHK Etele broadcast marks its second TV airing.
