Animate has announced a new Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End (葬送のフリーレン) T-shirt collection launching on 22 August 2026. The lineup comprises five designs, each priced at ¥3,850 (tax included).
About the Series
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a manga serialised in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday, written by Yamada Kanehito and illustrated by Abe Tsukasa. Set in a world after a hero’s party has defeated the Demon King, the story follows Frieren — a mage who has lived for over a thousand years — and the new companions she meets on her continuing journey.
A Phenomenon in Anime
The TV anime’s first season aired from September 2023 to March 2024, and Season 2, which broadcast in the Winter 2026 cour, proved equally massive — trending on X every week with multiple related keywords and topping video-streaming charts each episode. Immediately after Season 2’s finale, Season 3 【Ōgonkyō-hen / Golden Land Arc】 was confirmed for broadcast on Nippon TV in October 2027, sending fans worldwide into a frenzy.
What’s in the Collection
The five shirts are split across two design styles:
- “Nui-tori” illustration designs — Cute, original artwork inspired by the official social-media plushie-photography posts that went viral, including Frieren as an office worker and Frieren at a mahjong parlour.
- Season 2 scene designs — Striking stills taken directly from the anime’s second season.
Part of the Space A la mode T-shirt Collection Series
The shirts are the latest entry in Animate’s T-shirt Collection collab series, sold through the retailer’s apparel and lifestyle zone Space A la mode. Further collaborations with other anime, manga, and game titles are planned.
