The TV anime Yuri!!! on ICE is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a limited-edition release titled 「ユーリ!!! on ICE」10th anniversary SPECIAL Blu-ray & CD BOX 数量限定版. One of the set’s headline bonus features is a live performance video by professional figure skater Shun Sato (佐藤駿), and a teaser clip has now been made public.
Shun Sato Takes to the Ice as Yuri Katsuki
Sato’s performance recreates the Short Program skated by series protagonist Yuri Katsuki to the iconic piece On Love: Eros (愛について～Eros～). Reflecting on the experience, Sato commented:
“Learning the program that appears in the series was difficult, but I was able to perform it with a lot of joy. I hope this becomes an opportunity for everyone to enjoy Yuri!!! on ICE — and the world of figure skating — even more.”
Stéphane Lambiel and Narumi Takahashi Also Featured
The Blu-ray BOX will also include a collaboration video featuring world-class skater Stéphane Lambiel, who performs Yuri Katsuki’s Free Skating program. Additionally, a dedicated bonus video has been confirmed in which Japanese pair skater Narumi Takahashi (高橋成美) provides commentary and analysis on both Lambiel’s and Sato’s performances, offering viewers deeper insight into the technical and artistic elements on display.
The limited-edition set is shaping up to be an essential collector’s item for any fan of Yuri!!! on ICE.
