The TV anime 攻殻機動隊 THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, based on Shirow Masamune’s manga, has released the episode visual, synopsis, and scene cuts for Episode 4: “ROBOT RONDO”, set to air on Tuesday, July 28.

The series’ ongoing Episode Visual project extracts a concept or theme from each episode and renders it as an alternative-design poster. For Episode 4, the artwork was created by art director and graphic designer Takahito Matsuno (maxilla). Ten scene cuts from the episode have also been released, including images used in the visual itself.
Episode 4 Synopsis: ROBOT RONDO
A series of incidents breaks out in which sample-model robots suddenly begin attacking humans. Kusanagi and her team discover a common thread among the recovered units of the same model. To get to the bottom of the case, Batou and Togusa head to Hanka Seiki, the robots’ manufacturer…

Episode 4 airs on Tuesday, July 28 at 23:00 JST on Kansai TV / Fuji TV’s nationwide “火アニバル!!” block. Prime Video streams it from 23:30 JST the same night; other streaming services follow from Wednesday at 23:30 JST.
