The manga series Gensou Suikoden The Anime ～本物の英雄～ (Gensou Suikoden The Anime: A True Hero), drawn by Kochiya and based on the original work by Konami Digital Entertainment, has launched its serialization in Comic Dengeki Daioh G Vol.155, published by KADOKAWA on July 27.
The series serves as an advance comics adaptation (先行コミカライズ) of the upcoming anime Gensou Suikoden, which is set to begin broadcasting in October. The manga gives readers a chance to experience the story before the animated series premieres.
Synopsis
Riryuu and his best friend Jowy are members of the Unicorn Youth Brigade of the Highland Kingdom. After completing their garrison duties, the two should have been able to return safely to their hometown of Caro — but fate has other plans, and the pair are swept up in a harsh and unforgiving destiny.
