The official website for the Kore Kaite Shine (Draw This, Then Die!) television anime, based on Minoru Toyoda‘s manga, announced that voice actress Anna Nagase is joining the cast as Loups Garous — a pen name — a manga creator that protagonist Ai Yasumi encounters at the Comitia doujinshi fair. The character makes her debut in the anime’s sixth episode, airing this week.
Story
Ai Yasumi is a first-year high schooler living on the remote island of Izu Ōshima whose life revolves around manga. When she learns that her long-idolized but reclusive favorite creator, Yasuno-sensei, will make a rare appearance at Comitia, she doesn’t hesitate. That single decision sets off a chain of encounters that will shatter her assumptions about art, genius, and what it truly means to create.

Broadcast & Manga Background
The anime premiered on July 3 on NTV’s “Friday Anime Night” block at 11:30 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll is streaming the series simultaneously with its Japanese broadcast.
Toyoda (known for Love Roma) launched the manga in Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday in November 2021; it is also available on Sunday Webry. The ninth compiled volume is scheduled for release on June 12. Seven Seas Entertainment holds the English-language license.
The manga received an award at the 70th Shogakukan Manga Awards in January 2025 and won the 16th Manga Taisho award in 2023. It also ranked #6 in the male-reader manga category of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023.
