About Sousou no Frieren
Sousou no Frieren is adapted from the manga written by Yamada Kanehito and illustrated by Abe Tsukasa, serialised in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday. The story is set in the aftermath of a hero’s party defeating the Demon King, following Frieren — a mage who has lived for over a thousand years — and the new companions she meets on her continuing journey.
Season 1 of the TV anime aired from September 2023 to March 2024, while Season 2 began broadcasting in January 2026, topping streaming platform charts every week. Immediately after the Season 2 finale, it was announced that Season 3 【Golden Land Arc】 will air in October 2027.
