Anime production company Twin Engine and toy-and-entertainment giant Bandai announced on August 5 that they have entered into a strategic partnership agreement.
The two companies plan to launch joint projects that cover the entire IP pipeline — from developing original manga, through anime production, all the way to licensed merchandise. A total investment of up to ¥4 billion has been earmarked for these collaborative ventures.
Combining Complementary Strengths
Twin Engine brings expertise in anime planning, production, producing, promotion, and distribution, while Bandai contributes its long track record of maximising IP value through product development, marketing, and international licensing.
Together, the partners say their goal is to create IPs that will be cherished by fans around the world for years to come. Specific details of the projects under the partnership are expected to be revealed in the near future.
