The official X/Twitter account for the Kindergarten WARS television anime — based on Yū Chiba‘s manga of the same name — announced on Thursday that Sumire Morohoshi has been cast as Una, the teacher of the Violet class who is reputed to be the strongest in the school.

Staff
Shinsuke Gomi, known as an episode director on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Secrets of the Silent Witch, is directing the anime at Sunrise and Felix Film. Junko Yamanaka, whose previous credits include Kamisama Kiss and Servamp, is handling character design.
Story
Rita — known as Convict 999 — is a former legendary assassin who now works as a teacher at a kindergarten catering to the children of world leaders. Her mission is to keep those children safe from the assassins sent to target them. Despite her overwhelming combat ability, Rita has one glaring weakness: she is completely helpless around handsome men.
About the Manga
Yū Chiba launched Kindergarten WARS on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and website in September 2022. The series has surpassed 2 million copies in circulation, with the 18th compiled volume released on August 4. The manga entered its final arc in March 2025.
A spinoff titled Yōchien Wars -LUKE- (Kindergarten WARS -LUKE-), a 180-page story focusing on the character Luke, launched in November 2024.
Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service hosts the manga digitally in English, while Yen Press released the fourth physical English-language volume on April 28.
