To mark the upcoming conclusion of Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199, a fan-participation popularity poll titled “Uchu Senkan Yamato 2199–3199 Sousenkyou” (General Election) has officially launched, inviting fans to vote for their favourite characters and mecha across the entire Yamato 2199 series.
About REBEL3199 and the Final Chapter
Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199 is the latest entry in the Uchu Senkan Yamato 2199 series — a fully reimagined retelling of the 1980 theatrical film Yamato yo Towa ni and the same year’s TV series Uchu Senkan Yamato III. Structured as a 26-episode theatrical run, the series began screening nationwide in Japan in July 2024 with Chapter 1: “Black Invasion.”
Chapter 6: “碧い迷宮” (Azure Labyrinth) opened on 26 June, depicting Yamato crossing a space-time nexus and arriving in Tokyo in 2026 rather than the future. The final chapter, Chapter 7: “虹色の輪廻” (Rainbow Reincarnation) — in which Yamato storms the Deszarium home planet in search of answers and Earth’s future — is set to open on 30 October 2026.
How the Vote Works
The poll is divided into two categories: Character and Mecha. Fans visit the dedicated campaign site, select their pick in each category, and may vote once per day (a new vote becomes available 24 hours after the previous one).

Top-ranked characters and mecha will be featured in a newly drawn commemorative group illustration.
