As part of the Sunrise 50th Anniversary Project, the legendary anime studio has announced a massive streaming event titled 「サンライズ作品 71作品 第1話 連続ライブ配信」 — a continuous 24-hour livestream of the first episodes of 71 Sunrise titles. The event will run on the Sunrise YouTube Channel and Bandai Channel from Friday, August 14, 2026 at 21:00 JST through to Thursday, August 27, 2026 at approximately 23:59 JST.
About the 50th Anniversary Project
The project commemorates the 50th anniversary of Sunrise’s very first production, Invincible Super Man Zambot 3 (無敵超人ザンボット3), which began broadcasting in October 1977 and will reach its golden anniversary in 2027. A wide range of commemorative events and projects are planned to roll out between 2026 and 2028.
Anniversary Poster Visual and Special Campaign
Alongside the streaming event, Sunrise has unveiled a fully colored 50th Anniversary poster visual, expanding on the previously released teaser visual. The poster will be displayed at all six Sunrise World retail locations: Tokyo, Yokohama, Hakata, Kyoto, Sendai, and Koshigaya.
Sunrise’s official X (Twitter) account is also running a campaign where fans who post their summer memories related to Sunrise works will be entered into a lottery to win one of 50 B2-sized anniversary posters.
