A special one-week theatrical event for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has been announced to commemorate the opening of ufotable CHARACTERS Cafe IKEBUKURO, which launched on August 8, 2026, on the second floor of the Grand Scape Ikebukuro building adjacent to Grand Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro. Two films will screen from August 21 to 27, 2026, each showing just once per day.

About Demon Slayer
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, published by Shueisha under the Jump Comics label in 23 volumes, with cumulative circulation exceeding 220 million copies worldwide. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy whose family is slaughtered by demons, as he joins the Demon Slayer Corps in a bid to restore his demon-transformed sister Nezuko to humanity.
The anime series, produced by ufotable, launched in April 2019 with the Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc. The Infinity Castle saga is being produced as a trilogy; Chapter 1: Akaza’s Return opened in Japan on July 18, 2025, and earned international recognition as the sole Japanese title nominated for the Animated Feature Film category at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards.
