Animate has announced a new wave of merchandise for Gakuen Idol Master (学園アイドルマスター, commonly known as Gakumas), featuring newly drawn illustrations themed around “ECLIPSE LIGHT.” Products go on sale starting October 10, 2026, alongside a nationwide in-store and online fair.
About Gakumas
Gakuen Idol Master is the latest entry in Bandai Namco’s long-running THE IDOLM@STER franchise, launched in 2024. Players take on the role of a producer at the idol training academy Hatsuhoshi Gakuen, guiding a cast of aspiring idols — each with their own unique charms and challenges. The mobile app launched on May 16, 2024, and has since expanded into CDs, merchandise, and live events.
New ECLIPSE LIGHT Merchandise Lineup
All items in the new collection are based on original ECLIPSE LIGHT-themed illustrations and release simultaneously on October 10, 2026:
- Pasha-Kore (ぱしゃこれ) Trading Cards — ¥275 (tax incl.) per pack / ¥2,750 per BOX (10 packs); 38 normal variants + foil rare variants (38 types each)
- Acrylic Stands — ¥1,980 (tax incl.) each; 13 variants
- Tote Bag — ¥2,420 (tax incl.)
- Big Towel — ¥4,950 (tax incl.) each; 13 variants
ECLIPSE LIGHT Fair at Animate
Alongside the merchandise launch, Animate will host the 【Gakuen Idol Master -ECLIPSE LIGHT- Fair in Animate】 at all Animate locations nationwide and via Animate’s online store from October 10 through November 23, 2026.
During the fair, customers who purchase or pre-order Gakumas-related goods worth ¥1,100 (tax incl.) or more — or purchase/pre-order a book or audio-visual product (minimum pre-order deposit of ¥1,100, tax incl.) — will receive one bonus postcard per qualifying transaction. There are 13 postcard designs in total, split across two periods:
- First half (October 10–30, 2026) — 6 designs
- Second half (October 31 – November 23, 2026) — 7 designs
Note: Postcard designs cannot be chosen by the customer. Details are subject to change, postponement, or cancellation.
