Synopsis
The story centers on Keigo Hoshino, an astronomical observer who discovers an unknown asteroid and names it “Mika” — after his wife at the time. The couple later divorce, and Keigo desperately wants to forget the painful memories associated with her name.
His wish proves impossible, however, as the discovery of asteroid Mika becomes a massive cultural phenomenon. The name echoes around him constantly, reopening old wounds he cannot escape.
Everything shifts when Keigo unexpectedly crosses paths with his ex-wife again. Simultaneously, asteroid Mika faces a crisis of its own — and together, these two events begin to move forward the time that had stood still for them both.
