Bandai has announced that Destiny Gundam (ZGMF-X42S) — the signature mobile suit of Shin Asuka from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY — will be joining the G Frame FA series as a Premium Bandai exclusive.
About the Gundam SEED Series
The Mobile Suit Gundam SEED franchise is set in the Cosmic Era (C.E.), a future where two branches of humanity coexist: genetically engineered Coordinators and unmodified Naturals. The first series began airing in 2002, with Gundam SEED DESTINY serving as its direct sequel. Most recently, the theatrical film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM opened on January 26, 2024, going on to become the highest-grossing Gundam theatrical release of all time.

The Destiny Gundam is a cutting-edge mobile suit developed by ZAFT, built with the finest technology of its era to bring a decisive end to the war against the Earth Alliance. Constructed under the orders of PLANT Supreme Council Chairman Gilbert Durandal, it is powered by a Hyper Deuterion Engine for overwhelming output, and features the Voiture Lumiere propulsion system — technology repurposed from interplanetary travel drives — granting it exceptional high-speed mobility and the ability to deploy its iconic “Wings of Light.” Its pilot was Shin Asuka.
