A new trailer, key visual, and character photos have been released for the live-action drama Tsukiatte Agete mo Ii Kana (付き合ってあげてもいいかな), adapted from the manga by Tamifuru.
Story and New Trailer
The series is a Girls Love story following Saeko Saruwatari and Miwa Inuzuka, two women who begin dating after discovering they share an attraction to other women. As they enjoy the warmth of being in a relationship and grow closer, both must also confront the traumas and anxieties they have long carried within themselves.
The newly released trailer features scenes of Saeko and Miwa in conflict, strongly suggesting that a rift will develop between the two at some point in the story.
Riho Sayashi Writes and Performs ED Theme
Riho Sayashi, who plays Saeko in the drama, has written and will perform the ending theme “Kofuku Shikkaku” (幸福失格). The song can already be heard in the new trailer.
Sayashi commented on the track:
The distortions and ugliness of love that cross through the heart — things you never want to show anyone. I tried to channel the wavering emotions and inner conflicts of that kind of love into the words, melody, and my voice. I believe I was able to pour the inspiration I gained from playing Saeko firsthand into this song. My hope is that this song will stand quietly beside everyone following the drama, and leave something in their hearts alongside the story itself.
Broadcast Schedule
The eight-episode drama will premiere on MBS‘s Drama Tokku block on September 10, 2026, airing every Thursday at 24:59 (first episode at 25:04). Additional broadcast slots in Japan include:
