Japanese workwear brand Workman has announced an exclusive collaboration with TV anime Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries), bringing a range of limited merchandise to all Workman stores nationwide from late November 2026.
About Kusuriya no Hitorigoto
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is a massively popular rear-palace mystery series with cumulative sales exceeding 57 million copies across all formats. The story follows Maomao, a sharp-witted young woman serving as a poison taster in the imperial court, as she unravels a series of baffling incidents. Its blend of authentic mystery, exotic period atmosphere, and compelling human drama has earned it fans across all age groups.
The TV anime’s first season aired from October 2023 to March 2024, followed by a second season from January to July 2025 — both consistently ranking at the top of streaming platforms. Looking ahead, Season 3 is set to begin airing on October 2, while the theatrical film Gekijouban Kusuriya no Hitorigoto: Bouhi no Hihou is scheduled for release on December 11. A live-action drama co-produced by Prime Video and Toho has also been announced for 2028.
