The TV anime adaptation of Masakichi‘s original work, with manga by Shingou Iijima, titled Kashita Maryoku wa [Ribo Harai] de Kyosei Choshuu has released its second promotional video alongside announcements of an additional cast member and the series’ theme songs.
Theme Songs
The opening theme will be “Risk Rate” (リスクレート), a new track by group BUDDiiS, while the ending theme will be “Iremono” (いれもの) by artist Kotani.
SHOW of BUDDiiS commented that “Risk Rate” captures the tension of knowing that every choice or desire comes with its own risk and price to pay — yet pressing forward alongside companions without running from one’s own feelings. He described the song as showing a more mature and powerful side of BUDDiiS than ever before.
Kotani explained that “Iremono” was written while reflecting on the act of giving something to someone, receiving something from another, and what circulates between people in that exchange. She noted that giving doesn’t have to leave you empty — it can become a source of strength through connection with others — and expressed her hope that the song would travel alongside the story of Rent and his companions as they reclaim their own course.
Additional Cast
Daisuke Namikawa has been cast as Roger, the leader of the A-rank party “Meteor Shower” (流星群) and a close drinking companion of the protagonist Rent.
Namikawa commented that Roger fills a big-brother role in the story, showing many different faces — gentle, stern, and cool — and expressed his hope that audiences would watch the main characters’ struggles, negotiations, and growth together with him. He also cheekily added: “What exactly is revolving credit repayment? That’s the important question.”
Story
The series follows Rent, a young man expelled from his party “Sword of断空” (Dankuu no Ken), as he sets out on a path of revenge. Rent is voiced by Reiji Kawashima.
