Killer Sitter, the latest manga series by Kamijyo Akimine — the creator behind SAMURAI DEEPER KYO and CODE:BREAKER — released its first volume on September 16 via Kodansha.
Story: A Legendary Mercenary Takes on Babysitting
The protagonist is a legendary mercenary feared as the LOG KILLER, “the killing machine of the battlefield.” Arriving in Japan under the new name Nogawa Ryusei, his next mission is anything but combat: he must raise a baby in an ordinary Japanese apartment.
Having never known a peaceful, everyday life, Nogawa struggles enormously with childcare for the first time — and to make matters worse, a group of mysterious assassins has him in their sights. The series blends pulse-pounding tension with fish-out-of-water comedy as Nogawa navigates the most dangerous mission of his life: parenthood. Killer Sitter is currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine.

To celebrate the volume’s release, an official PV has been unveiled featuring Maeno Tomoaki as Nogawa Ryusei and Aoyama Yoshino as the baby Nogawa Seina. Both voice actors shared comments alongside the PV’s release.
Maeno Tomoaki (as Nogawa Ryusei): “The contrast between Nogawa’s cool, crisis-defusing side and the suffering he endures over what counts as ‘normal’ is really compelling. I could also relate to just how hard raising a child can be — it was a lot of fun to perform. I hope as many people as possible get to experience this series!”

A giveaway campaign is being held on the official Killer Sitter X (Twitter) account, with prizes including a shikishi (autograph board) bearing the signatures of Maeno Tomoaki and Aoyama Yoshino alongside a specially drawn illustration by Kamijyo Akimine.
