The first episode of Tsukuyomi Kanshasai INFO, a dedicated information program leading up to the online event Tsukuyomi Kanshasai, has been released for the original anime film Chou Kaguya-hime!. The episode marks the world premiere of a promotional video and key visual for VR Tsukuyomi World — a VR recreation of the virtual space “Tsukuyomi” from the film — as well as the first-ever reveal of 3D models for Sakazuki Ayaha and Tsukimi Yachiyo.
The Feature Debut of Director Yamashita Seigo
Chou Kaguya-hime! is the first feature-length directorial work from Yamashita Seigo, the animation creator behind the iconic opening sequences of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1, Chainsaw Man, and Urusei Yatsura. The film is currently streaming worldwide exclusively on Netflix, and a theatrical revival run began on Friday, September 18, adding special formats including MX4D®, 4DX, SCREENX, ULTRA 4DX, and Dolby Atmos®.
VR Tsukuyomi World Opens September 25
The newly revealed PV and key visual showcase Kaguya, Ayaha, and Yachiyo standing before a striking torii gate — the entrance to the Tutorial Area of VR Tsukuyomi World. This area will open exclusively on the VR platform VRChat on Friday, September 25 at midnight (JST).
Visitors to the Tutorial Area can also play a mini-game in which they help Yachiyo construct a torii gate while learning the basic controls of VRChat.
Free Online Live Event on December 26
The online live concert Tsukuyomi Kanshasai ~Mecha Uma Pancake Party~ is set for Saturday, December 26 at 9:00 PM (JST), streaming simultaneously on the official YouTube channel and VRChat free of charge, with an archive to be made available afterward.
To celebrate the event, new merchandise — including an original towel and penlight — will go on pre-sale at the official store, letting fans cheer along from home.
More Episodes of Tsukuyomi Kanshasai INFO to Come
During the first episode, the characters Ayaha and Yachiyo appeared alongside Kaguya to present new information in a lively, in-character style. The episode also featured a fun segment called Kaguya’s Pancake Fortune Telling.
