Synopsis
In the flower kingdom of Blume, an ancient law decrees that only women may inherit the throne. The truth, however, is that Queen Sieglinde — the ruler seated upon that very throne — is actually a young man named Siegfried.
Elna, Siegfried’s milk-sister and a lady-in-waiting who knows his secret, takes on the role of speaking as the “Queen’s voice” on his behalf every day. She works tirelessly to cultivate the knowledge and refinement the kingdom demands, while Siegfried, for his part, harbors deep feelings and an intense attachment toward her.
The first volume launches the love story of these two individuals bound together by a secret powerful enough to shake the entire kingdom.
