To mark the upcoming broadcast of the TV anime Ao no Hako (Blue Box) Season 2, long-established Hokkaido confectionery shop Kishinodo — based in Nayoro City — has released a special collaboration product. The collab langues de chat cookies went on sale on September 20 at Animate and JUMP SHOP locations across Japan, as well as at Kishinodo’s own stores and online shop.
The Cookie: “Seishun to Seishun to Seishun”
The featured product is Kishinodo’s langues de chat “青春と青春と青春” (Youth and Youth and Youth), known for its refreshing lemon flavor and light, crisp texture. The collaboration came about because the product’s concept of youthful brightness aligned naturally with the world of Ao no Hako.
The cookies are sold in 6-piece boxes dressed in a special collab package featuring five main characters: Chinatsu, Daiki, Hina, Tadashi, and Ayame. The collab packaging is available in limited quantities, so fans are encouraged to pick theirs up early.
About Ao no Hako Season 2
Based on the manga by Miura Koji, Ao no Hako follows the youth and romance of Daiki, a first-year high school student and badminton club member, and Chinatsu, his upperclassman and ace of the basketball club, along with the students around them.
Season 2 is set to begin airing on October 4 across TBS and 28 affiliated stations nationwide.
