The TV anime Black Clover 2nd Season has released preview images from its first episode, along with enthusiastic comments from four of the series’ lead voice actors.

Episode 1 Synopsis

The new season opens with the Magic Knights of the Clover Kingdom preparing to rescue Yami and the others who have been abducted by the Dark Triad. Having completed the “Rite of Passage,” Asta and Liebe begin training to master Unite — the ability to fully merge with a devil — while Yuno trains intensely to defeat Zenon and save Vangeance. Meanwhile, in the Spade Kingdom, Morris, a magic scholar who fled the Diamond Kingdom, quietly advances his preparations to open the gates to the underworld.

Kajiwara Gakuto (Asta)

The 2nd Season is finally here!! I’ve been looking forward to this ever since the first season ended. I think both longtime manga readers and anime-only fans will be more than satisfied! Asta’s muscles are huge now — he’s almost as ripped as Yami-san. (laughs) And the magic battles are incredibly intense! Look forward to the fights where everyone pours their soul in! Shimazaki Nobunaga (Yuno)

I’ve been with Yuno for quite a long time now, and I’m truly happy to be moving forward alongside him in the anime once again — to be involved as a voice actor in the next chapter of his life. I hope everyone will continue to watch over where Yuno and the others are headed.

Suwabe Junichi (Yami Sukehiro)

Black Clover… The story that had been frozen is finally moving again after five and a half years. But Yami Sukehiro is still being held captive by the Dark Triad. Someone please hurry up and save me!! The fierce battles continue in the 2nd Season — please tune in!

Yuki Kana (Noelle Silva)

At last! Black Clover 2nd Season is starting. I’ve been looking forward to it too. Please cheer on Asta and the others as they grow even more passionate, powerful, and cool! Noelle also gets to fight her great nemesis. It’s a part of the story I love dearly, so I put everything into the recording. I can’t wait to see it animated — I hear the battle scenes are incredible, so look forward to those too! Let’s keep pushing past our limits!

Collaboration with the Japanese Red Cross

A collaboration campaign with the Japanese Red Cross Society Tokyo Blood Center has also been announced, running from September 26 to December 27. Blood donors during the campaign period will receive an original clear card with a wallpaper download code.
