The stage musical SPY×FAMILY 2: Bomb Dog Arc & Luxury Cruise Arc, based on the manga by Tatsuya Endo, officially opened its main run at Tokyo Tatemono Brillia HALL on September 22, 2026. A press conference was held the same day before the curtain rose, bringing together the principal cast to share highlights and behind-the-scenes stories.
Cast Arrives in Costume
Attending the conference were Morisaki Win and Kento Kiuchi as Lloyd Forger, Fuuka Yuzuki and Kiho Maaya as Yor Forger, and Sena Izutani, Kano Kozano, and Reka Mano sharing the role of Anya Forger. Morisaki, Yuzuki, and Izutani wore Act 1 costumes, while Kiuchi, Maaya, and Mano appeared in Act 2 costumes; Kozano wore a costume spanning both acts.
Highlights: New Characters and Yor’s Intense Action
When asked about the show’s highlights, Morisaki pointed to new characters including Bond and the villains. Yuzuki described Act 1 as packed with visual spectacle that feels like riding a theme-park attraction, adding that Anya’s adorable presence is a key draw — she even addressed Morisaki by his character name, “Lloyd-san, please make sure everyone comes to see it!” Morisaki smiled and agreed.
Kiuchi singled out Yor’s action sequences in Act 2, saying they were impressive even during rehearsals. Maaya responded enthusiastically: “There’s about six or seven times more action than I imagined. My body is completely wrecked — but by the time the run ends, I plan to be a full-on, hardcore assassin!” Kiuchi also mentioned the comedic scenes between Anya and Lloyd, encouraging audiences to enjoy watching Lloyd be completely flustered by the little girl.
The Secret Race: Who Gets Home Fastest?
The most entertaining moment of the press conference came when Izutani revealed she had been secretly competing with Morisaki since the preview run — a race to see who could leave the venue first each night. She had even enlisted Kiuchi as a real-life spy to report on Morisaki’s movements, laughing innocently as she said, “I had Kento-san go undercover for me in his private time too.” The current score: Morisaki leads 7 wins to Izutani’s 3.
Kozano charmed the room by saying her favourite part of rehearsals was eating boxed lunches together with the team, and she recalled how her nerves vanished the moment she stepped on stage during the previews, replaced by warmth from the audience’s laughter and applause. Mano shared that seeing the enormous set for the first time during previews made her feel truly ready to “become Anya.”
Favourite Scenes from the Three Anyas
Asked about their favourite moments in the show, Izutani chose the scene where Yor falls in battle, then draws on her memories to power up through song — and also admitted she envies Lloyd’s hilariously unfashionable outfit, requesting a “terribly dressed Anya” scene someday. Kozano picked Bond’s first walk with the family, praising Bond’s adorable expressions. Mano chose the scene at the adoption event where Yor momentarily loses sight of Anya, saying Yor’s singing and dancing in that moment are so entertaining she could watch it on repeat. Yuzuki and Maaya watched Mano’s answer with visible delight, and the assembled press couldn’t help but smile throughout.
