A brand-new merchandise line for the TV anime Super no Ura de Yani Suu Futari (Two People Smoking Behind the Supermarket) has launched on AMNIBUS, with pre-orders open from September 10, 2026. The collection is built around the “what if” concept: What if Sasaki and Yamada worked at the same place?
About the Series
Originally serialized on X from March 9, 2022, Super no Ura de Yani Suu Futari is a manga by Jinushi whose first chapter amassed over 280,000 likes. It now runs in Square Enix’s Monthly Big GanGan. The story follows Sasaki, a worn-out 45-year-old salaryman, and Yamada/Tayama, a quirky 24-year-old supermarket employee, as they gradually grow closer through shared cigarette breaks behind the store.
The TV anime adaptation began airing on July 9, 2026, directed by Suzuki Masato and Mori Aoi, with animation by Asahi Production. Sato Takuya voices Sasaki, while Hoshi Kinari voices Yamada/Tayama.
