The TV anime Aoki Denshow: Welsh & Shedar (蒼き伝承 ウェルシュ＆シェダー) has released its main promotional video, while also announcing three additional cast members — Kaida Yuko, Furukawa Makoto, and Kageyama Risa — and confirming that the theme song will be performed by Kageyama Hironobu and Okui Masami.
Main PV and Theme Song
The newly released main PV showcases the intertwining fates of Welsh and Shedar as their respective destinies begin to move. The video features a portion of 「僕らの未来へ」 (“Bokura no Mirai e”), the opening theme performed as a duet by Kageyama Hironobu and Okui Masami. The series is set to premiere on TOKYO MX on October 2, 2026, airing every Friday at 21:25.
New Cast and Characters
- Kaida Yuko as Zabel — the queen of the Bonta Kingdom, who possesses five of the world’s only six Dofus. She is an absolute ruler combining overwhelming charisma with cold ruthlessness.
- Furukawa Makoto as Joris — a legendary hero who once resolved a great conflict that determined the fate of nations, now serving as Welsh’s guide into adventure. Born of a special race, he has lived an extraordinarily long life and retains top-tier physical ability and vast experience.
- Kageyama Risa as Bechamel — Welsh’s childhood friend and closest companion, a mischievous and free-spirited cat-girl.
Previously announced cast includes Yasuda Rikiya as Welsh and Kaji Yuki as Shedar.
About the Series
Aoki Denshow: Welsh & Shedar is an original anime from French studio Ankama, known for the MMORPG Dofus. The story is an adventure fantasy centered on the legendary items known as “Dofus,” said to have created the world itself. The fates of Welsh, a kind-hearted boy from the countryside, and Shedar, prince of the continent’s greatest nation Bonta, become inextricably intertwined in the quest for these mythical artifacts.
Artist Comments
Kageyama Hironobu: “I had the honor of handling both the opening and ending themes for Aoki Denshow – Welsh & Shedar! The opening is a cheering song for the protagonists’ journey, but I also wanted listeners to feel a hint of the French origins of the work, so I gave it a slightly medium-tempo touch and had Okui Masami join me for a duet. I hope it brings a refreshing breeze to the hearts of everyone who watches.”
Okui Masami: “Hello, this is Okui Masami. I am truly honored to be performing the theme song as a duet with Kageyama Hironobu. The melody is gentle yet powerful — it somehow makes you feel the wind and draws you right into the story. I can’t wait for the broadcast to begin!”
