Fans of The Quintessential Quintuplets have a new reason to celebrate: the five Nakano sisters from the TV special anime The Quintessential Quintuplets＊ (五等分の花嫁＊) are now starring in an online lottery on Kuji-Biki-Do. About the Series
The Quintessential Quintuplets is a romantic comedy based on the manga by Negi Haruba, which ran in Weekly Shonen Magazine until February 2020. The story follows Uesugi Futaro, a top-scoring student who becomes a private tutor for the five Nakano quintuplets — all of whom are struggling academically — and works to help them graduate high school.
The TV anime’s first season aired from January to March 2019, followed by the second season The Quintessential Quintuplets∬ from January to March 2021. The theatrical film, covering the school festival arc that serves as the story’s climax, opened on May 20, 2022. A subsequent film, The Quintessential Quintuplets∽, released in July 2023 and adapted manga episodes not previously animated. Most recently, The Quintessential Quintuplets＊ arrived in September 2024, depicting Futaro and the quintuplets’ honeymoon. A new anime project, The Quintessential Quintuplets【Spring Summer Autumn Winter】, is also currently in production.
