Scene cuts from Episode 1 of the TV anime Expelled Cheat Enchanter: Enjoying a Second Life with My Beloved Wife — based on the original story by Mutsushima Asa and manga art by Gyomuyo Mochi, serialized in Kodansha’s “Gekkan Manga Kichi” — have been officially released.
Episode 1 Synopsis
Rain Garland is an enhancement enchanter who can bestow “Boost Points” on virtually anything — weapons, armor, and beyond — and can revoke those enhancements at will. He has long served the adventurer’s guild King Beast’s Fang, but is abruptly expelled by the guild master Barios on nothing more than a whim.
In response, Rain strips every Boost Point he ever granted to his former guildmates and resolves to use those reclaimed points to forge a new life as an independent adventurer. While searching for a new guild, he crosses paths with receptionist Nina and guild master Elsie Zola, ultimately joining the adventurer’s guild Blue Crystal. He then sets out alongside Lily Flambell, an S-rank adventurer of the same guild, to take on a dragon — but what awaits them?
