Where to Watch Nami Uraraka ni, Meoto Biyori [Updated October 2026]

The 10-episode series aired on Fuji TV’s “Thursday Drama” slot from April 24 to June 26, 2025. Here is a breakdown of current viewing options:

  • FOD — Unlimited streaming (見放題); from ¥976/month (tax included); no free trial period.
  • Amazon Prime Video — Rental only; Prime membership costs ¥600/month (30-day free trial for new members), but this title is not included in the Prime unlimited catalogue — a separate rental fee applies.
  • TSUTAYA DISCAS — DVD delivery rental; “定額レンタル8ダブル” plan at ¥2,200/month (tax included), up to 8 discs per month (2 discs per shipment), no return deadline, shipping included.

TSUTAYA DISCAS: Recommended for Watching All 10 Episodes

Because the DVD is classified as a “旧作” (back-catalogue title), it is eligible for rental from the very first day of the 30-day free trial. The 定額レンタル8ダブル plan lets subscribers rent up to 8 discs a month with no return deadline and no extra shipping charges. Unused disc allowances roll over to the following month (up to 8 discs).

FOD: Unlimited Online Streaming

FOD is Fuji TV’s official streaming service, focusing on dramas and variety shows from the network. Nami Uraraka ni, Meoto Biyori is included in the unlimited plan, starting from ¥976/month for the Light (ad-supported) tier. There is no free trial.

Amazon Prime Video: Per-Episode Rental

Viewers who want to watch select episodes can rent them individually via Amazon Prime Video. Rental prices and viewing windows are shown on the title’s product page. New Prime members receive a 30-day free trial, but the rental fee for this series is charged separately from the membership.

Note: Docomo (including ahamo) users who register for Amazon Prime through Docomo receive 120 dPoints (equivalent to 20% of the monthly membership fee) back each month. First-time Prime subscribers via Docomo also receive three months free.

Story & Highlights

Set in spring of Showa 11 (1936), Natsumi, the third daughter of the Sekiya family, is suddenly told by her father that she is to marry Takimasa Ebata, an Imperial Navy officer. On their wedding day, however, Takimasa cannot attend due to military training, leaving Natsumi to exchange vows with his photograph.

The series follows the couple’s tentative, endearing journey toward closeness — from learning each other’s names to holding hands — across all 10 episodes. Period-accurate art direction, including traditional homes, kimono, and Showa-era cuisine, adds to the atmosphere. The theme song is “夢中” (Muchuu) by BE:FIRST, written specifically for the drama.
