The key visual for the “You meet siinamota” project’s pop-up store has been revealed, featuring an original illustration drawn specially by acclaimed manga artist Asano Inio (浅野いにお).
Who Was siinamota?
siinamota (椎名もた) was a Vocaloid producer best known for the song “Shoujo A (少女A)” and the Strobe Series, which includes “Strobe Last (ストロボラスト)” among others. He began producing music via DTM at the age of 14, and in 2012 released his debut album “Yume no Manimani (夢のまにまに)” through label GINGA. He went on to release further albums, provide songs for other artists, produce remixes, and perform live — before passing away in July 2015 at just 20 years old.
About the “You meet siinamota” Project
Built around the concept of “encountering siinamota through Shoujo A,” the project has been running various events throughout this year, beginning on March 9 — siinamota’s birthday.
Pop-Up Store in Tokyo
The pop-up store will open on October 17–18, 2026 at Fandom Akiba, 5F, Tokyo. The dates were chosen to coincide with the anniversary of “Shoujo A” being first uploaded online. Merchandise on sale will include a vinyl record edition of “Shoujo A” and a record-style pin badge case.
Collaboration Cafés Across Japan
The project will also host collaboration cafés at SMILE BASE CAFE locations nationwide:
- October 30 — SMILE BASE CAFE Nagoya Sakae, Aichi
- November 19 — SMILE BASE CAFE Shinsaibashi, Osaka
- December 12 — SMILE BASE CAFE Ikebukuro, Tokyo
