Japanese fashion brand MAYLA — known for its tagline “raise your body temperature by 2°C” — has unveiled a new collaborative footwear line titled JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable Iconic Shoes Object Pumps ~On Version~. The collection features three pairs of pumps inspired by fan-favourite characters Higashikata Josuke, Kishibe Rohan, and Kira Yoshikage, and is now available for pre-order.
About JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is the landmark manga by Hirohiko Araki, serialised in Weekly Shonen Jump since 1986. Beginning with the fateful meeting of Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando, the saga chronicles the bloodline and destiny of the Joestar family across generations. With cumulative sales exceeding 120 million copies worldwide, the series is celebrated for its iconic character poses, inventive sound effects, and memorable dialogue. It has been adapted into anime, video games, a musical, and a live-action film. The ninth part, The JOJOLands, is currently serialised in Ultra Jump.
Diamond is Unbreakable, the anime adaptation of Part 4, aired from April to December 2016 as the third season of the TV anime series.
Character-Inspired Designs
Each pair draws deeply from its respective character’s visual identity:
- Higashikata Josuke [NV-4] — Inspired by his school uniform and the Stand Crazy Diamond
- Kishibe Rohan [WH-4] — Features pen-nib motifs and his signature headband, referencing his career as a manga artist and his Stand Heaven’s Door
- Kira Yoshikage [PP-4] — Incorporates his trademark suit and tie alongside motifs from the Stand Killer Queen
Each design is available in two variations — with or without a ribbon — and this pre-order covers the ribbon (On) version. The insoles feature a collaboration logo incorporating the emblem of Morioh Town, while the overall colour palette draws from the anime’s vibrant, pop-art aesthetic.
