Koei Tecmo has released a gameplay trailer for The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother, a new game based on Hyuganatsu and Touko Shino‘s Kusuriya no Hitorigoto light novel series. The trailer confirms the game will launch on March 18 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
The gameplay preview showcases the mysteries, potion-crafting, and investigations that form the core of the experience. A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available, bundling costume packs for players who want additional content at launch.
Story and Gameplay
According to Koei Tecmo, two intertwining chains of strange phenomena and conspiracies are throwing the rear palace, the red-light district, and the streets of the capital into chaos. Apothecary Maomao must draw on every bit of her intelligence and expertise to solve the mysteries and expose the truth behind the False Imperial Brother before the imperial court is torn apart.
Players take direct control of Maomao as she explores locations, compounds medicines, and investigates clues to unravel each case.
