A special commemorative illustration marking the 30th anniversary of GeGeGe no Kitaro (ゲゲゲの鬼太郎) Season 4‘s broadcast has been unveiled. The newly drawn piece is the work of Himeno Michi (姫野美智), the character designer for that season of the series.

The artwork will be used on merchandise sold at GeGeGe Ki 2026 (ゲゲゲ忌2026), the annual event held in Chofu, Tokyo, running from 18 to 30 November 2026. A selection of the merchandise has already been previewed; the full lineup will be announced on the official GeGeGe no Kitaro & Akuma-kun ANIME PORTAL SITE. Items will go on sale from 18 November at Chofu PARCO and AEON Cinema Shiatas Chofu.

About GeGeGe Ki

GeGeGe Ki has been held annually since 2016, organised by Chofu City to mark the death anniversary of manga creator Mizuki Shigeru (水木しげる) on 30 November. Chofu was the city where Mizuki lived for more than 50 years. The event celebrates his legacy — including beloved works such as GeGeGe no Kitaro and Akuma-kun — with the cooperation of Mizuki Productions, Toei Animation, and other related organisations. Activities include anime screenings, a stamp rally around Mizuki-related locations, and talk shows featuring staff and cast members.
