The theatrical compilation film Gekijouban Maebashi Witches ~Majo Minarai no Emo Emories~ has partnered with convenience store chain Seven-Eleven for a special campaign running at stores throughout Gunma Prefecture until November 5.
How the LINE Point Campaign Works
Dubbed the “Maebashi Witches LINE Point Campaign,” the promotion asks participants to first add Seven-Eleven’s official LINE account as a friend. They can then earn “Mapo” (マポ) — the in-universe currency from the series — in two ways:
- Scanning a QR code displayed in participating Gunma Seven-Eleven stores earns 5,000 Mapo.
- Purchasing fried foods worth at least ¥300 (tax included) earns 15,000 Mapo.
Rewards
Accumulated Mapo can be redeemed for the following:
- 10,000 Mapo — redeem for a character smartphone wallpaper.
- 99,999 Mapo — enter a lottery for a chance to win a life-size panel of Akagi Yuina.
“Flowers of the Heart” Feature
As fans accumulate more Mapo, “flowers of the heart” (心のお花) gradually bloom across the campaign screen, immersing players in the world of the series. Spending Mapo on rewards or lottery entries causes the flowers to diminish accordingly, tying the gameplay loop directly to the story’s atmosphere.
