About Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Puella Magi Madoka Magica is an original anime directed by Akiyuki Shinbo, with scripts by Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus), original character designs by Ume Aoki, and animation produced by Shaft. The story follows Madoka Kaname, an ordinary second-year middle school student, whose life changes after a mysterious encounter draws her into the world of magical girls born from wishes.
The series is celebrated for blending the everyday lives of its young heroines with unpredictable, thrilling drama, avant-garde visuals courtesy of Gekidan Inu Curry (responsible for the series’ surreal witch-world designs), and a sweeping dramatic score by Yuki Kajiura. It has earned widespread critical acclaim across many fields since its debut.
The original 12-episode TV series aired in 2011, followed by a two-part theatrical compilation in 2012 — [Part 1] Beginnings and [Part 2] Eternal — and the fully original theatrical film [New] Rebellion in 2013. The latest entry in the franchise, Gekijouban Puella Magi Madoka Magica〈Walpurgisnacht: Rising〉, opened in cinemas on August 28, 2026.
About the Figure
This figure comes from FuRyu‘s wallet-friendly TENITOL brand. The design captures Akemi Homura in a graceful standing pose — her head gently tilted to one side and a soft smile on her lips, projecting an air of quiet elegance. Her legs are crossed ever so slightly, adding a sense of fluid, natural movement to what is otherwise a clean, simple silhouette.
