The production team behind A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special Season 2 — the anime adaptation of Wookjakga’s Korean web comic (known in Japan as Kikansha no Mahō wa Tokubetsu Desu) — announced at the series’ Anime Expo premiere on Saturday that krage will perform the ending theme song “Everlasting” for the new season.

Rock band FLOW also returns to contribute the opening theme “Sorrow”, a track composed specifically for Season 2. The new season is set to premiere in October on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block, airing on Wednesdays at 24:45 (effectively Thursday at 12:45 a.m.). Season 1 will re-air on Fuji TV and Kansai TV beginning this July. Crunchyroll will stream Season 2 internationally.

Story
With the Shadow World having overrun civilization and most of humanity wiped out, a party of six heroes fights desperately to save the world — and fails. Now he must reassemble his party and prevent the greatest catastrophe in human history before it’s too late.
Season 1 of the anime first aired in October 2023. Crunchyroll streamed it with an English dub across English-speaking territories, Latin America, and Europe.
