Franchise History

Terajima launched the original Ace of Diamond baseball manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2006. The series concluded in January 2015 at 47 volumes and won the shōnen category of the 34th Kodansha Manga Awards in 2010. A television anime adaptation premiered in 2013 and ran for 75 episodes, followed by Ace of Diamond: Second Season in April 2015 for 51 episodes; Crunchyroll streamed both series as they aired in Japan.

Terajima launched the sequel manga Ace of Diamond Act II in August 2015, concluding it in October 2022 across 34 volumes. Its anime adaptation premiered in April 2019 and ran for 52 episodes, also streamed by Crunchyroll. The franchise has additionally inspired a series of stage plays.

Kodansha USA Publishing began releasing the original manga digitally in English under the title Ace of the Diamond in March 2017, while the Act II manga is available in English via K MANGA.
