The Afternoon 40th Anniversary Exhibition, set to run at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Tokyo from July 10 to 26, 2026, has announced its second wave of exclusive merchandise. The event celebrates four decades of Afternoon, the monthly manga magazine launched by Kodansha in 1986, which has long championed creative freedom across genres ranging from sci-fi and history to slice-of-life and fantasy.
Merchandise Highlights
Medalist
Fans of Medalist can look forward to two standout items. The Mirror Acrylic Diorama (Inori / Iruka) features beautiful mirror-finish acrylic figures of the two leads, measuring approximately 97×80 mm after assembly, priced at ¥2,420 each (tax included). Alongside it, the Mini Holo Acrylic Panel: Medalist (2 types) uses holographic effects to enhance the illustrations, measuring approximately 77×200 mm at ¥2,640 each (tax included).
Houseki no Kuni (Land of the Lustrous)
The most anticipated item in this wave is the Postcard Set in a Tin Can [15 types]: Houseki no Kuni, featuring all-new artwork drawn exclusively by series creator Ichikawa Haruko. The tin measures 155×120×20 mm and the postcards approximately 100×148 mm, priced at ¥3,300 (tax included). Acrylic keychains (2 types, approx. 70×50 mm, ¥880 each) are also available.
Dig It!
The ID Photo-Style Sticker Sheet: Dig It! presents character illustrations in a trendy photo-booth format, measuring approximately 148×100 mm at ¥550 (tax included) — perfect for decorating phones or notebooks.

The Stained-Glass-Style Metal Bookmark: Moyashimon+ features the beloved Oryzae character in a translucent stained-glass design, approximately 70×70 mm, priced at ¥1,760 (tax included).
