Animate Rashiku Fukuoka Tenjin — set to become the largest Animate store in the Kyushu region — will hold its grand opening on Saturday, October 24, 2026. To mark the occasion, a full collaboration with Bungou Stray Dogs has been announced, including a live opening ceremony, a talk show, exclusive merchandise, and an art exhibition running through late December.
About Bungou Stray Dogs
Bungou Stray Dogs is a manga written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. The TV anime adaptation first aired in 2016, and the spinoff series Bungou Stray Dogs Wan! 2 began broadcasting in July 2026.
Opening Ceremony & Talk Show — Apply by September 7
On the day of the grand opening, voice actor Taniyama Kisho — who plays Nakahara Chuya, a character associated with the neighboring Yamaguchi Prefecture — will appear at both an opening ceremony (morning) and a talk show (afternoon) held inside the store. Exact time slots will be communicated to successful applicants.

Applications for the opening ceremony can be submitted via the dedicated event page in the CLUB animate app or website. For the talk show, customers receive one application serial per ¥2,200 (tax included) spent on eligible Bungou Stray Dogs products — including related books, audio-visual items, and character goods — purchased or pre-ordered at any Animate store nationwide or through Animate’s online shop. Serials must then be entered on the CLUB animate event page within the application period.
Grand-Opening Commemorative Shopper Bag
Customers who spend ¥3,000 (tax included) or more at Animate Rashiku Fukuoka Tenjin will receive a special commemorative shopper bag featuring the Bungou Stray Dogs 10th-anniversary illustration, while supplies last. Bags are distributed at the Animate register only (Animate Gratte and Animate Cafe purchases also qualify).

Nakahara Chuya Standing Panel & Revival Gratte
A life-size standing panel of Nakahara Chuya will be displayed in-store from October 24 to November 23, 2026. Additionally, a revival of the popular “Nakahara Chuya Gratte” menu — along with other past commemorative items — will be available at Animate Rashiku Fukuoka Tenjin from October 24 to November 15, 2026.

Bungou Stray Dogs ART & DESIGN EXHIBITION
Rounding out the celebration, the Bungou Stray Dogs ART & DESIGN EXHIBITION will be held at Space Galleria FUKUOKA inside Animate Rashiku Fukuoka Tenjin, running from Friday, November 20 to Monday, December 21, 2026.
